Lodge Full XL Over Queen Barnwood Bunk Bed

The Lodge Full XL Over Queen Barnwood Bunk Bed combines two generously sized sleeping surfaces with the rugged character and heavy-duty construction of the Lodge Collection. Made to order in the USA from rough-sawn Norway pine, it features an extra-long Full XL upper bunk over a spacious Queen lower bed.

With massive 4" x 4" corner posts, heavy wood construction and an 800-lb weight capacity, this bunk bed is designed for adults, teenagers and children. The Full XL upper bunk provides the same 80" mattress length as the Queen below, making this an excellent configuration for cabins, vacation homes, bunk rooms and bedrooms accommodating taller sleepers.

Built-In Headboard Climbing Access

Access to the upper bunk is built directly into the headboards at both ends of the bed. The headboards are used for climbing to and from the upper bunk, eliminating the need for a separate ladder.

This design keeps the front of the bunk bed completely open and avoids the additional floor space required by a traditional slanted floor-standing ladder.

Heavy-Duty Construction

The Lodge Barnwood is built for substantial everyday use. Massive 4" x 4" rough-sawn pine corner posts and secure barrel-nut-and-bolt rail connections create a strong and stable sleeping system.

The bunk bed has a weight capacity of up to 800 lbs., making the Full XL over Queen configuration particularly well suited for adults, older teenagers and larger sleepers.

Rustic Barnwood Character

The Lodge Barnwood Collection is not made from reclaimed barn wood. It is constructed from new rough-sawn Norway pine selected and finished to create the distinctive appearance of rustic barnwood furniture.

Natural saw marks, knots, checking, cracks and other variations are intentional characteristics of the wood. These variations are part of the rustic design and help give every Lodge bunk bed its own individual character.

Mattress Requirements

• Upper bunk requires one Full XL mattress
• Lower bunk requires one Queen mattress
• An 8" thick or thinner mattress is required for the upper bunk
• Lodge/Barnwood beds can accommodate mattresses approximately 8" to 10" thick on the lower bunk, depending on desired sleeping clearance
• Mattresses are sold separately
• Mattress support/slat system is included

The bunk provides approximately 36" of clearance between the bottom of the upper side rail and the top of the lower side rail.

Optional Under-Bed Trundle

For additional sleeping capacity, the Lodge Full XL over Queen is available with your choice of a Twin XL, Full XL or Queen trundle.

The solid-wood trundle rolls on eight wheels for easier movement and stores beneath the Queen lower bunk when not in use. The three available sizes allow you to select the additional sleeping surface that best fits your room and sleeping needs.

Allow sufficient open floor space in front of the bunk bed for the selected trundle to pull completely out.
