The Lodge Barnwood Twin Over Full Bunk Bed combines heavy-duty construction with the warm, rugged character of rustic lodge furniture. Built in the USA from rough-sawn Norway pine, this substantial bunk bed features a Twin upper bed over a Full lower bed, providing extra sleeping space below without requiring the footprint of two full-size beds.
Each piece of wood is hand selected for its natural character, including visible saw marks, knots, cracks and other variations that give every bunk bed its own distinctive appearance. The massive 4" x 4" corner posts and heavy wood construction make the Lodge Barnwood an excellent choice for cabins, vacation homes, bunk rooms and everyday residential use.
Optional Slanted Ladder
The headboards at both ends of the bunk bed provide built-in access to the upper bunk, so a separate ladder is not required. For those who prefer front access, an optional slanted ladder is available.
Unlike a traditional slanted ladder that extends to the floor, this ladder hooks securely to both the upper and lower side rails and does not touch the ground. This provides angled climbing access without increasing the overall floor footprint of the bunk bed.
The Lodge Barnwood is built for substantially more than occasional children's use. Heavy rough-sawn pine construction, 4" x 4" corner posts and secure barrel-nut-and-bolt connections create a strong, stable sleeping system with a weight capacity of up to 800 lbs.
The bunk bed can be used by adults, teenagers and children, making it especially well suited for cabins, vacation rentals and shared bedrooms.
Although called Barnwood, this collection is not made from reclaimed barn wood. It is crafted from new rough-sawn Norway pine selected and finished to create an authentic rustic appearance.
Saw marks, knots, checking, cracks and natural imperfections are intentional characteristics of the wood and contribute to the individual appearance of each bed.
The bunk provides approximately 36" of clearance between the bottom of the upper side rail and the top of the lower side rail, providing generous separation between sleeping surfaces.
An optional solid-wood trundle can add an additional sleeping area beneath the lower bunk. The trundle rolls on eight wheels for easier movement and is available in Twin or Full configurations.
When planning your room, remember to allow sufficient open floor space in front of the bunk bed for the trundle to pull completely out.
