The Dillon Dual-Height Queen over Queen Bunk Bed with Storage Stairs combines generous sleeping space, heavy-duty solid hardwood construction and built-in storage in one versatile design. With a 600 lb. weight capacity per sleeping surface, the Queen over Queen configuration is well suited for teenagers, adults, guest rooms, vacation homes and shared sleeping spaces.

The dual-height lower bunk can be assembled at two different levels, allowing you to choose between additional headroom or space beneath the bed for an optional trundle or storage drawers. A solid wood storage staircase provides comfortable access to the upper bunk while adding convenient built-in drawer storage.

Full-length guardrails surround the upper bunk, while solid hardwood framing and metal-to-metal rail connections provide strength and stability. The bunk bed can also be separated into two individual Queen beds as your sleeping needs change.

Mattress Requirements

  • Top bunk: Queen mattress — recommended thickness 8 inches or less.
  • Lower bunk: Queen mattress — recommended thickness 8 inches or less.
  • Optional Twin XL trundle: Twin XL mattress — maximum 8 inches thick.
  • Optional Full XL trundle: Full XL mattress — maximum 8 inches thick.

Dual Height Lower Bunk

The lower bunk can be assembled at one of two height settings depending on how you plan to use the bed.

Lower setting: The bottom of the lower rail sits approximately 4" above the floor, providing approximately 43" of clearance between the bunks. This setting provides more headroom but does not accommodate a trundle or under-bed drawers.

Higher setting: The bottom of the lower rail sits approximately 12" above the floor, providing approximately 35" of clearance between the bunks. This setting provides the space needed for an optional trundle or under-bed drawers.

Choose the setting that works best for your room before assembly.

Under-Bed Options

When the lower bunk is assembled at the higher setting, the space beneath the bed can accommodate additional sleeping space or storage.

  • Twin XL trundle available for an additional sleeping surface

  • Under-bed storage drawers provide convenient storage for bedding, clothing and other essentials
  • Trundle mattresses should not exceed 8" in thickness
