The Lodge Twin XL Over Queen Barnwood Bunk Bed combines heavy-duty construction, generous sleeping space and authentic rustic character in a configuration designed for adults, teenagers and growing families. Built in the USA from rough-sawn Norway pine, it pairs an extra-long Twin XL upper bunk with a spacious Queen lower bed.
Massive 4" x 4" corner posts and heavy wood construction give the Lodge Barnwood its substantial appearance and strength. It is an excellent choice for cabins, vacation homes, bunk rooms and residential bedrooms where durability and larger sleeping surfaces are important.
The headboards provide built-in climbing access to the upper bunk, allowing the bed to be used without a separate ladder.
For those who prefer front access, an optional slanted ladder is available. The ladder rests securely against both the upper and lower side rails rather than extending to the floor. This provides angled climbing access without adding to the floor footprint of the bunk bed.
Designed for substantial everyday use, the Lodge Barnwood features heavy rough-sawn pine construction, massive 4" x 4" corner posts and secure barrel-nut-and-bolt rail connections.
Its combination of a Twin XL upper bunk and Queen lower bunk provides considerably more sleeping room than a traditional Twin over Twin configuration and makes this model particularly well suited for adult guests, older teenagers, vacation homes and cabins.
Despite the Barnwood name, this collection is not constructed from reclaimed barn wood. Each bunk bed is made from new rough-sawn Norway pine selected and finished to create its distinctive rustic appearance.
Natural knots, checking, saw marks, cracks and variations in the wood are intentional characteristics of this collection. These variations help make every Lodge Barnwood bunk bed unique.
For additional sleeping capacity, the Lodge Twin XL over Queen can be equipped with an optional Twin XL, Full XL or Queen trundle.
The choice of three trundle sizes makes this bunk bed especially versatile for larger families, guest rooms, cabins and vacation properties where additional sleeping accommodations may be needed.
Because the trundle pulls out from underneath the Queen lower bunk, be sure to allow sufficient open floor space in front of the bed for the selected trundle to extend fully.
Need maximum sleeping capacity? The optional Queen trundle adds another full Queen-size sleeping surface beneath the lower bunk while keeping it tucked away when not in use.
