The Gary Twin XL over Twin XL Bunk Bed combines extra sleeping length with a space-efficient Mission-style design. With Twin XL beds on both levels, it provides 5 inches of additional mattress length compared with a standard Twin bunk bed, making it a practical choice for teens, adults, guest rooms, vacation homes, and shared bedrooms.

Built from solid wood with sturdy bed rails and metal-to-metal connections, the Gary is designed for everyday use and supports up to 600 lbs. per sleeping level. It can also be separated into two individual Twin XL beds as your room needs change.

Choose between a vertical or slanted ladder. The vertical ladder has a smaller footprint and provides easier access to under-bed storage or a trundle, while the slanted ladder offers a more comfortable climbing angle but extends farther into the room.

Optional under-bed drawers with a center cubbie provide convenient storage, while the optional Twin XL trundle adds an extra sleeping space that rolls underneath the lower bunk when not in use.

Ladder Options

Mattress Requirements

  • Requires two Twin XL mattresses — one for the upper bunk and one for the lower bunk.
  • We recommend an 8" thick Twin XL mattress for the upper bunk to maintain proper guardrail height and comfortable sleeping clearance.
  • The lower Twin XL bed can accommodate a thicker mattress depending on your preferred sleeping clearance.
  • When adding the optional Twin XL trundle, one additional Twin XL mattress is required.
  • The trundle mattress should not exceed 8" in thickness.
  • Mattresses are sold separately.
