Lodge Barnwood Queen Loft Bed

The Lodge Barnwood Queen Loft Bed combines a spacious Queen sleeping surface with the heavy-duty construction and rustic character of the Lodge Collection. Made to order in the USA from rough-sawn Norway pine, the elevated Queen bed creates valuable open space below while providing a substantial sleeping area suitable for adults, teenagers and children.

Use the space beneath the loft for a desk, couch, storage or other furniture, or add an optional lower bed to create additional sleeping space. Massive 4" x 4" corner posts and heavy wood construction give this Queen loft the strength and substantial appearance that define the Lodge Barnwood Collection.

Planning for Delivery & Room Access

The Queen headboard and footboard arrive fully assembled and are substantial pieces of furniture. Before ordering, please measure doorways, hallways, stairways, landings and any tight turns along the path to the room to make sure the assembled pieces can be moved safely into place.

This is especially important for upstairs bedrooms, cabins, lofts and rooms with narrow or winding access. Please consider the entire delivery path—not just the dimensions of the room where the loft bed will be assembled.

Built-In Climbing Access

Access to the upper loft is built directly into the headboards at both ends, eliminating the need for a separate ladder.

This integrated climbing design keeps the front of the loft open and avoids adding a ladder to the room footprint while providing access to the upper sleeping surface from either end.

Optional Lower Bed

The Lodge Queen Loft can be ordered as a standalone loft bed or paired with an optional lower bed.

Available lower bed sizes include:

The optional lower bed can be positioned perpendicular beneath the loft to create an L-shaped bunk configuration, or used separately elsewhere in the room. Each lower bed features a low-profile footboard for a more open sleeping area.

Choosing the Queen lower bed creates a spacious Queen over Queen perpendicular sleeping configuration, particularly well suited for cabins, vacation homes and larger bunk rooms.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Built for adults as well as children, the Lodge Barnwood Queen Loft features massive 4" x 4" rough-sawn pine corner posts and secure barrel-nut-and-bolt side rail connections.

The upper Queen loft has a weight capacity of up to 800 lbs., providing substantial strength for adults, teenagers and larger sleepers.

Rustic Barnwood Character

The Lodge Barnwood Collection is not made from reclaimed barn wood. It is constructed from new rough-sawn Norway pine selected and finished to create its distinctive rustic appearance.

Natural saw marks, knots, checking, cracks and other wood variations are intentional characteristics of the collection and help give each Lodge loft bed its individual character.

Mattress Requirements

• Upper loft requires one Queen mattress
• An 8" thick or thinner mattress is required for the upper loft
• Optional lower bed requires a mattress matching the selected bed size
• A box spring or foundation is required for the optional lower bed
• Mattresses and box spring/foundation are sold separately
• Mattress support/slat system is included for the upper loft

Room & Ceiling Planning

The Queen loft measures approximately 87"L x 67"W x 74"H.

A minimum ceiling height of 8-1/2 feet is recommended. When planning your room, consider mattress thickness and the amount of sitting clearance desired between the mattress and ceiling.

If adding an optional lower bed, also allow sufficient floor space for the perpendicular lower-bed configuration.
